Default Fiberglass hood opinions

I am doing a swap to a fiberglass food from the stock one on my 89 Turbo. I am considering the GT Racing and IFC hoods. Anyone have experience in terms of fit and finish. The prices are farily similar. Id like to get the best hood possible that will require the least amount of body work. If there are other brands to consider let me know.

I searched but didnt find much on hoods.

Thanks in advance for your opinions

Brian

Why is that no-one can product nice carbon fiber parts for our cars? I see all kinds of WRXs and other ricers with hoods and such from CF that have nice fit and finish.

I keep considering a vented front nose panel, but its seems even out of fiberglass they fit like crap. I would really like a nice CF one that fits with a clear coat on it.

Same old question.. I feel the frustration... They just won't get the sales numbers from our cars as they would from the others. I know, I know, if they make it cheaper maybe they would right? It is what it is, I guess.

GT Racing makes a CF hood. It is twice as expensive and saves all of 2 lbs over the FG hood. So bang for the buck go fiberglass.

Yeah, but raw CF just looks nice. I would want a nose/hood that looked good enough not to paint.

I would prefer to get more fibrglass parts then less carbon bits ..
saying you can afford 2 front guards for the extra cost

op poster cant actually have CF as he is using it to create a G class racer and he is only allowed FG for class rules. Agree CF does look nice though!
