Default 951 Silicone Radiator Hose Kits

We are ready to start production on our silicone radiator hose kits
in both the early and late versions for the 951. Refer to our website for the
difference between the two. I thought it might be beneficial to us
and you guys if we did some sort of group purchase/sale on the first
batch.

We plan on red, blue and black. Other colors could be done, but
other then perhaps yellow, we can't imagine any other colors that
would look good.

Would anybody want a set?

Let's assume a regular price per kit of $175.00 and less on a group
buy (to be determined) depending on number of committed persons. By committed we mean
with payment arrangements made up front.

Don't get us wrong. We are building them regardless, just thought it
might be a nice way to kick them off.

We would hold the group buy off this board on either our forum, or through
email.

I'd be interested so long as i could purchase after the start of the new year.

What all would the kit include?

We would require payment arrangements up front, but as usual, we charge the customer
when we ship, and not in advance. So it should work for you wanting after the first of the year
as that would be about when they would be in stock.

The early kit would be all 12 hoses. The late kit is all 13 hoses. New hose clamps will be made
optional. We will be doing the heater bypass hoses at the rear of the engine, but not
right away unless everybody wants those at the same time. Then we could fast track those.
The hoses are 6mm thick, 6 ply, except for the two small hoses off the coolant expansion tank.

Will you have the options of purchasing only some of the hoses for people like me who deleted/relocated some of the cooling components?

Tim, we will be doing at Dry turbo radiator hose kit, but that uses a 944 NA hose which are what
we will be starting on as soon as these are off and running. But I don't see us selling individual
hoses because of the lead times with the manufacturing.

Radiator hose clamps are going to be required with the new hoses since they are 6mm
versus the stock 4mm thick. We will just give you the option of buying from us, or not.

This may be a stupid question, but what are the benefits of Silicone vs stock?

Stronger and last longer. That means reliability on a race track. Plus you get your color to boot! Our regular hose kits are in the $140 range, so your not spending much for these.

From what I have seen, if you are blowing hoses at the race track or on the street, it pretty much means you have deferred your maintenance way too long. OEM hoses are up to the task, but by the time they are ten years old or more, they don't owe you anything and *should* be replaced, along with the hose clamps. I doubt you'll see any advantage using silicon, but they will be new (and pretty! lol) and the price is good.

I would be interested, but I just changed all my hoses (except the T-hose). Will the expansion tank/aux water pump T-hose be one-piece like original or three separate hoses and a T-fitting like the one 944online sells?

If I were to buy, I'd only be interested in black. Not a fan of gaudy hoses/wire loom.

I'm interested. What kind of clamps would be sold for them and how much extra would they be?

The T hose will be a T like the original. That's what they use on the early cars.

That's why we offer the color black. Some like nothing but.

German style stock type clamps. Don't know the price yet, but since the only difference is
they are all slightly larger, I will guess no more then a dollar or two above our current
clamp prices. Those are on our hose pages.
