Default Euro License plate question

I'd like to put an european license plate to my car. There's a place that makes them for 35 dollars and I'm thinking of having mine done. Is this just cutting the holes where the US plate should be or do I have to buy antoher bracket for this type of license plate? Is anyone here with an euro plate that can show me some pics?

The German plate that I ordered came with a bracket that had holes for the US locations.

Ditto on the bulky frames, the PO installed the plate with 2 small screws with colored caps directly on the bumper.

I used the 3M tape that fixes moldings on for my plate...works perfect.

I had one on my car till an ex-gf parked to close to the rail in a parking garge. The plate came from either Bavarian Autosport or BMP, both BMW suppliers. The plate came with a nice housing that lined up perfectly to the factory holes in the front bumper on both my 951 and the 88 325ix with 89 bumpers. I'm ordering another one soon for my 1991 325ix.

I mounted the Euro plate on my U.S. spec 944S2 by drilling holes in the plate to match the holes in the bumper for the U.S. plate bracket. It's been 6 years and counting.

just drill the plate to the same size holes as the ones in the bumper and use a thick rubber grommet between the plate and the bumper

I had one on the front bumper, but I'd like to make my same license plate at the back but with the euro size. there are several people here that have them on some bmw's and this weekend saw one GT3 with the euro license plate. I want to know if other than having the license plate done in the euro size with the same numbers etc. do I just make the holes where the regular US license goes or do I need an european bracket that holds that certain lisence plate size?
