Default Alignment Spec

Folks, the G.E. camber plate will be replace by Racers Edge. So I have no idea the what did the alignment spec the last owner do. I only can see the front camber is -1.5 from the plate.

So, I have:

-F: 17 x 8.5, 235/45/17
-R: 17 X 10.5, 275/40/17
-M030 Koni with 2.5 ID srping
-Racers Edge srping hat and camber plate
-100% street use

What is the recommendation? Thanks!

set the tops to zero then set the camber to -2 with the lower camber bolts this should give you at least -1 to -3 deg with the top ajustment but -2 is an ok starting piont for the street and i would say set the rear to about -1 and all toe zero

If you set the factory adjustment as far positive as it will go and set all the camber with the plates you gain 10+mm of inner wheel clearance, only matters if you are considering bigger wheels and tires for the front.

+1 to gt37vgt's recommendations.

OK, as I understand,
1.) Lock the plate in 0 deg position
2.) Adjust the lower camber bolts to 2 deg
3.) Then the overall camber will be 1 deg (remain 0 deg on the plate, 2 deg on camber bolts) to 3 deg (end point of the plate, 2 deg on camber bolt)?

So what about caster?

Now the car is running fine with 235/45/17 on front. Mine baby is 89 with rolled fender edge, I think the the wheel clearance is enough.
The only reason to change the plates because the thrust bearings worn out, I don't know the age of the old plates. Also, the genuie top mount is expensive

Caster is easy, I sit mine to max within factory specs. It determines straight line stability. I hear a lot of caster can make the car harder to turn from a straight line but I have no complaints. I run 2 degrees neg camber up front and 1.5 in the back toe is at factory spec front and rear.

Finally the Racers Edge camber plate installed, so I left the rear camber in 2 degree, front is set less than 1 degree. It still handle well, but I see the trye thread, it tells me need more camber.

So, if I move the plate a little more distance, it means more camber, do I need to do the alignment again?
