Thanks Dan. Yes it's all about perspective at this stage. Sometimes it's hard to not let it get to you but being alive is pretty sobering.

Just saw this and new here. Sorry, Patrick glad your Ok. I liked your car also, guys running summer tires when the weather starts getting cool be very careful, I went through a left turn from a light full on sideways.Not my plan, the tires were cold. So 65 mph for 8 miles at 45 degrees did not put enough heat in them.
Scared the crap out of me!

 

Sorry I'm late to the party, what a bummer Patrick! So sorry to hear (but glad you're OK). I know you were excited to do more with the car after coming to the states and working with Veloce Raptor.

I hope you have a speedy (mental) recovery and get to tackle the project of your dreams.

Just when i was driving to work 05:30 in the morning. It was dark outside slightly slippery after rain and i was very tired. I accelerated out on to the main road when i spotted two shining eyes on the right side of the road. I reacted an threw my car to the left my tail went out tried to straiten the car out "locking the brakes" while observing the car slowly closing in on the road fence....

Car meets dog, driver avoids the animal but not the road fence.





I sold this car as a parts car and will be focusing on the 951 instead.
