You would get better power and torques with tuning, 10.9 is WAY low for the AFR to be at max power / Torque... unless you are running E85...

Best power with straight gas is 12.5:1..best torque is closer to 11.5:1... you might pick up a few horses / ft lbs with a better chip tune...

Need more details on your setup / fuel / tuneing mechanism...

I am running maxtune, and am tuning to keep my AFRs above 12:1... you are running significantly richer than that...wasting gas....

I disagree with this advice ^^^^^^^^ nothing personal. 10.9 is a little rich.. prefer 11.8, but anything higher than 12.2 for any extended period has proved on many occasions too lean. Stock boost levels.. Maybe.. higher superheated psi.... no.

Agree, under boost anything between 11:5 -11:8 is perfect, you can use the 12:1 ratio in low rpm's before boost kicks in. Once a well know RL sponsor told me to adjust my afr between 12:3-12:5 under boost to make the story short I blew a hg.

Ok, so as the boost is building getting up to 3500 just before it peaks at about 3800 it should be dropping no more than 11:2 - 11:8 AFR's? I'll change it tomorrow and report back on the seat of the pants dyno results.
Thanks for the input guys

Please don't mis-understand. 12.5 is certainly more powerful. But you're risking any kind of reliability.

I will say though that my compression #'s are not as good as they should be. They average 137-140 and I'm sure that has significant impact on my overall HP.

I would like to share the dyno chart for comments, but I'm having problems loading it...any suggestions on getting from my email to here?

Dyno doesn't look bad, but I would have expected more too (not trying to be mean or sarcastic or anything). Looks like we have similar setups (assuming the LR 61 & K27 are comparable?), including compression numbers. Guess I'm gonna vote 250-300...

4 guys making 600+ ?!?

I think some if not all of these folks selected this option as a joke or based on a different car besides their 944. Relaxed90 lives nearby me and drives a stock S2. He does have a good friend with a 993tt - maybe he came into some money lately and picked that up and modded it

V2Rocket_aka944 drives a 2.5 liter NA last I knew but he is VERY active on the forums especially on the turbo board and the OT board so I think he would like to have a big HP car one day - maybe so bad that he already thinks he has one
