Absolutely , but holy overkill! No need to pressure test that piece.

Bruce,

Just out of curisoity, what is the weight of the car you are shooting for? What is the HP range for the engine going to be? Last time I saw your car it was in the 2300 lb range.

As light as humanly possible. As much power as possible.

But,, I'm hoping for high 2100's - low 2200's (cage just added 120 lbs!) I'm looking for average power between 4-7krpms to be right at 400. So 450-500peak.

Regulations for that kind of thing are extremely complicated from what I understand.. To get that approved.... oh man.

Intercooler pipes.. Easy stuff. also still expensive. Cam tower would have to come from NASA! If it were just a Chevy Valve cover.. that would be do-able. And I'm sure a quick search would find a few for sale now.

But, for now and possibly.. ever. Shift rod, then intake, then Torque tube.

did you go with chromoly cage? - should be a fair bit lighter than standard steel cage.

No.. I am building according to NASA German Touring Car Class. No break for Chromoly. So I made it out of the 1.5" DOM steel. 120lbs of Cage in there now.
