aftermarket throttle body
What would be the best/most affordable option? It needs to be able to withstand massive amounts of boost unlike the stock one and either have a compatible TPS or be able to fit the stock on it somehow. Mounting is not an issue since I plan to cut the intake and weld on a custom plate.

Thanks, I was thinking something new/aftermarket but I'll see if I can dig up a 928 or BMW TB and pressure test them. I haven't found a 951 TB yet that doesn't start to leak around 22-25psi. Starts with a slow leak then gets worse over time.

Why don't you contact some of our approved Rennlist Sponsors and ask them? I know of 3 companies that make them and that are active on here. Maybe they will chime in.

I thought CEP was the only company that actually made them from scratch. Aren't the rest just BMW or 928 throttle bodies modified to fit? Which three companies? I can only think of one, SFR....on one car (GeorgeD).

I have made some larger throttle bodies by machining other ones to fit - but I don't see the point in having a throttle body any larger than the intercooler pipes. There are better places to spend money!
Now individual barrel valve throttles...that sounds more interesting...

From scratch - like from a billet of aluminum? I don't see the point of that, but I guess if people want to pay for it then it will be done!

The 928 TB is also much larger than the opening in the stock intake manifold. I am using the 928 TB now, but have the SFR manifold and pipes to make it worthwhile.
There is also an Edelbrock sport compact TB that can be made to work. See Pete95zhn's old car (RIP) for example.
