If I remember correctly it just pushes into the grommet in the tank...between the grommet and the recess in the tank it is held in position...

I bought a flat clip that goes with the pump to mount it but I still can not figure it out. My tank has 2 round ***** or pegs on it an in no way can I make them line up with the pumps metal bracket.
Please some one help with a pic of theirs off. Please Please!

When I bought the car the pump was mounted to the side fender. I know that it mounts on top of the fluid bottle but I can not figure out how. I have the parts cd that shows all of the parts and have the clip that goes with it but for the life of me I can not figure it out. If anyone has a pic of theirs It would help me out.
Thanks.

Here you go. L-bracket clips to the two plastic clips that are moulded into the reservoir.

Thanks so much. My pump looks like that but the back side does not. It must have come form a different porsche model. Well now I know. Thanks again. Also I think that you are missing a clip that stops it from sliding toward the motor and popping off. It is a flat piece of plastic part #477955743 and it cost me all of $2.

Hello, you must have an earlier car? On the early models there was in fact a flat chip that simply fits between the two ***** on the reservoir to hold the pump bracket in place, after you've pushed it on through the holes and slid it sideways. Fergus's car does not have this chip securing the pump.

The chip is flared so that you can wedge it between the ***** by sliding it in vertically, IIRC.

Thanks Luis. That sounds right to me. It is on there very securely.

Thanks for the compliment. Actually, I rebuilt the entire washer system last year... Most of the parts are new
