Default 72ib injectors too much??

So i was looking to get some new injectors, but didnt want to go overboard. Would my car run alright with 72lb injectors, or would it be slow off an idle?

Im asking this because i dont want to buy some 55lb then later have to up them again.

3in exhaust
dual port wastegate
mbc
adjustable fpr

thanks for reading!

You will need more than an adjustable FPR to make them work right on a slightly modded car like your sig. Without the proper chip/fuel map you are just wasting gas and running rich. Are you planning on a larger turbo or serious engine mods? If so, think of the any upgrades as a full system and do them all at once, not piecemeal.

Yep, gotta have something to tune the bigger injectors (chip/piggyback). Can't just thrown them in there.

yes my plans are to get a bigger turbo, chips and a couple other things. I just dont want to buy the chips, and have them mapped for the car now.

so you guys would just wait to put the stuff till i get the while package?

thanks for the responses!

I had 85# injectors with 951max chips and currently have 72# injectors with the Vitesse MAF/kit. You couldn't guess the injectors weren't stock with the proper chips. I highly suggest Vitesse if you have the $$

yeah, i agree - 83#'rs here with the Vitesse MAF. You definitely have to be chipped so that they run half duty cycle or something like that. John is the man at tuning these cars - his MAF is a work of art. As MM said, you can't tell that you're not running stock injectors at idle with these things in.

You can also get the Vittesse MAF and large injectors and then upgrade the turbo and other parts w/o having to retune it

exactly. that's the reason he does it that way (which is awesome, quite frankly). Keeps you from having to pulling two things out to replace every time you change one thing.

Some day I'll upgrade my turbo - but right now I'm good...it's definitely nice to know I won't have to touch a thing (except maybe dink around with fine tuning in the PB) after such a big upgrade.
