Well, I finally got the wheels painted! I bought the car with the Fuchs painted red (see last picture below) -- quality job done but not exactly my cup o' tea.
I sent the wheels out to Al Reed Polishing in Anaheim. Total cost was $403, after shipping. The quality of his work is amazing. Definitely satisfied so far.
The car is a bit dirty, and the pics were taken at the plain wrong time of day, but you get the idea.
Sean (azmi951 -- the dirty white one) and I have been planning on doin' a photo shoot so we'll put up the pictures whenever we end up doing that. Hopefully we can include George (George D) in on the mix as well. George, I need to come by your place so you can check my wheels out. Or you could come to Sean's soiree tonight...

How did you get Al Reed to call you back? I must have left half a dozen messages for those guys. When I finally spoke to them they said that they'd call me back with a quote to do my 951 Fuchs exactly as yours are done. Never called back so I gave up on Al Reed.

loooove fuchs and the 400 spent to have them polished was well worth it. i do not like those cpr spiltters though. it looks super thin in pictures and gives the car a higher stance than it really would in real life. everything else about your car i love!

Thanks y'all!
LSU, first off, I love your avitars. Secondly, it was a bit of a fiasco with Mr. Reed. I originally called him in Feb. I explained that I'd be driving on the race tires and it's my DD, so the sooner he can get them done the better. He quoted me at 10-14 days.
Well, I call him back in April, now that I'm ready to send him the wheels. No response.
Call him in May, checking in. He tells me he's super sorry for not getting back to me, and if I call when I'm ready to send the wheels, he'll get my order to the front of the line and have 'em done in a week.
So, do just as he instructs and he says it'll be no more than 10 days. Super!
...3 weeks pass by, so I give him a call -- his wife answers, and I tell him "I don't mind if you're going to take a long time to do the wheels. But don't go telling me it'll be a week and end up taking a month."
They get them done in two days. Get them back before the end of the week.![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
As for the splitter, I agree that it looks thin. I was originally set on the AIR one, but I've had ****ty luck with AIR (header panels), and I didn't want to do more work to get it to fit. Plus, the ABS is suuuuuper durable, vs the fiberglass (which is not as much).
