Caster did it years ago. He owned several of these 944 turbos and is the guy who I bought my car from originally. He said he only used it to help spool the turbo when he would race his friend in his viper.

He isn't really on the list though so there is no documentation of what he did. I only know about it cause I saw it in person on his red car. Other than him i've never seen anyone else actually run nitrous on these cars.

I've never heard of anyone doing it on a 951..I've see it done once on a 944 (Fishey on this board IIRC)

Fishey has run it before, as has Danno. I've considered it for a short 2000-3200 rpm shot, but the useage is so limited, I've mostly ruled it out of consideration. I think I'll enjoy water injection far more in this hot climate!

I have considered both the spool kit and the intercooler kit. Any experience with the intercooler kit (sprays on the intercooler)?

Most of us just turn up the boost. Nitrous is cheap and easy if done right. Best bang for the buck ever. I love it. But still. It's such a short term 1/4 mile type of thing, I think that's why most have not done it on these cars. Love the 1/4 mile. But. Still don't feel the need for nitrous.

Fishey did it on an S or an S2. Not a turbo. Very quick times though..

There's A LOT of people with these cars who go to the road racing rather than the 1/4 mile track, and since you're in the upper rpm range on the track anyways, all having a nitrous setup would really do nothing but add weight which you don't want anyways.

Nitrous is that hot, but skanky, chick over by the bar: you want to hit it, but you're afraid of what might happen to your equipment.

haha +1

Also, its so damn hard to tune nitrous safely on a high boost turbo engine thats already on the brink of detonation. Not really worth the risk IMHO because you might not get it right the first time... NA is an entirely different story, throw a 50-75 shot on there and go to town!
