Default I have a problem (AKA in need of a Porsche 12 step program).. Any Ideas?

I am looking for some help here, maybe a support group, anyone know where I can get into a 12 step program or something?

I will start at the beginning, Christmas of last year I bought a 1987 951 off ebay for $3200... Trailered it home, drove it once around the block before the work ensued...

NEW are the timing belt, water pump, shocks, struts (Koni Yellow), ball joints, control arm bushings (elephant racing monos) strut perches (KLA monoball), tie rod ends, PS pump, PS Rack, Euro fog lights, new tail lights, CPR V1 splitter, wheel bearings...few other bits and pieces here and there...

Now my issue is, I find myself longing to drive the car, I don't want to stop when I get home (70 mile commute) and I find myself WANTING to stop, clean her up, take pictures of everything I have done, and post a full write up, but that would ALL take away from the driving time...

Help me, I don't want to stop driving, I even yesterday snuck out of work 3 times to go for a spin.... Help me please... Maybe I should spend some time working on the N/A and drive it to calm me down from the 951?

Seriously... My drive to school/work/airport is a ~20 mi drive through twisty country routes. 20 miles is not nearly enough

only 2h52m until I can take it for another drive!

Well imagine those of us that drove their Turbo all last year hassel free, and will be lucky to drive it a month this year because its torn down.

Whats even worse...I can't drive the S2 EITHER!

have a passenger with a laptop so you can dictate while you drive.

I just got the Turbo back together last week, and have driven every day since

But my N/A is still down, I need to diagnose a noise in the engine, might be an over tensioned belt, but I am thinking it is much worse (Oil pump if I am lucky, main bearings if I am not so lucky) I will troubleshoot it later in the spring...

Sure... start by ID'ing the problem in the thread title.

easy way to stop you driving so much decide to give the engine a "little freshen up"with some "modest improvements " then strip it down get back on rennlist and talk about putting it together for 2 years constantly changing your mind .
