Default Next Project?...You choose.

Gentlemen,

First I would like to thank everyone here who has contributed to the splitter project. From having active input, to supportive PM's/posts/e-mails, purchasers/customers...etc., etc..

In all essence you made this part, I simply supplied some criticals. Currently the following items are nearing the end of design and will be available for sale by March/April...so these are already on the way:

-Cup style mirrors-these housings will use the OEM 951 stem and ALL OEM internals. An easy installation...remove the existing "flag", remove motor, re-install motor/clip assembly in new housing, mount and you are done. (end March)

-ABS/Coloured Poly/Carb-speaker adaptor plates- these plates are a different design and construction than the original MDF units. Looks more "stock" but with a more modern shape. (AVAILABLE MARCH 5TH)

-BRAKE DUCT/PROJECTOR LAMP ASSEMB.-a drop in replacement for your stock fog/driving lights. This units integrates a staggered look with a forward mounted hella-projector light(to the inside) with an offset brake duct (to the outside). One piece molded construction, includes casing, sealed projector fixture and tapered duct vent. (April 15th)

-SIDE NOSE VENT PANELS- think McClaren/Saleen...can't give too much away on this one...yet (May 12th)

-COMPLETE FRONT EXPOSED HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY- LATE JULY- modern looking update to the "pop-up" round headlights. Requires some cutting of hood and fender area....Promises to impress. Mock will be ready in May.

With the splitter project now complete and fully into production & now knowing what I have on the way, what do you want next?....yes, it is that easy.

* and no....I will not be exploring drivetrain upgrades (other than the meth/H20 system already underway). Those items are best left to the likes of Vitesse, CEP/Dave, Chris White/944 Enhancements, SFR/Tim, LR, etc....

Thanks for any input.

They are "similiar" to the 968 mirrors. I could not get the deals I was promised from other vendors on these originally....so I am making them. Also these use the existing flag stem/wiring/guts so will definitely be easy to install. Under 1 hour per is the goal

How about a 'real' rear diffuser? (replace the stock one). His could be real cool and real functional.
I’ll do the wind tunnel testing if you want!

Aren't you also working on an adjustable 968 style rear wing?

I have a great idea.

How about some fiberglass fenders and hoods that actually mimic the factory dimensions.

It's amazing that for any sports car on the planet you can get high quality fiberglass & carbon fiber replica parts, but for some reason... every lightweight body panel made for the 944 (from all the suppliers) fits like crap (and that's being generous).

A cold air box, i.e., a K&N air filter box.

Sounds like you already have a bunch of great ideas...and will probably be getting quite a few orders from me this summer

As far as new ideas, I'll give it some thought and post up any ideas.

+1 on 968 adj wing. If you can make one of these with a TOTAL cost that is well under 1000 they will fly off the shelves.

Also, a rear diffuser isn't going to do too much without some channeling under the rest of the car...

+1 on the fiender idea fro tonyG. There are no good options out there. Personally I want wider fiberglass fenders available in increments of 1" depending on what the customer wants. Also the removal of the beveled edge and having the fenders trimmed already for lowered cars would be great. A real race product with steet fitment.

Oh, and how abotu some plastic intake manifolds? 8v and 16v turbo for less than $600 a piece.

Some rivet in hood vents much like the ones from carbontrix.com, but in the ABS plastic finish.
Offered in several sizes with a price point around $100.

A replica of the euro rear bumper, with a trim piece that mimics the factory one. If you could make that for less than $500 they would sell.
