Default European Dash board

The 1987 944 turbo I am looking to buy has European gages (all kilometers) does anyone know the production history to explain why this left hand drive car has only metric gages and does this effect the value of the car + or - ?

That's the good one
In Europe only UK and Malta have RHD, all others (quite many, just look map) drive the same side as you americans do.Actually its just Malta since they still use some odd miles in UK

Not sure if this list is accurate or not, but there are approximately this many countries that use RHD cars. http://www.sonirodban.com/rhd.html

Sorry my Irish friends, i forgot you
All others here in Europe are small islands around UK.

If you look that list carefully, most of these countries used to be british colonies.

If it is a Grey market car in the US you will pay a small premium in insurance. I do not think it is much. I have a ROW car and because the VIN is not registered as US production it does not show up anywhere in the insurance computers.
