There's several standard sizes. Check the deck of the block you'll be using and see what the tolerance group number that you need is. The last thing you want is to have TG 2 block and TG o or 1 pistons.

 

Where is this on the block and where is this located on the pistons? I was not aware of different TG's

 

TG is on the pistons. Is there really TG mentioned on the block?
I have 8 TG1's available, but i suppose you can find those more cost effective way in the USA.

 

One of my pistons have a 1 on the top. My block says 1 on the top of the HG surface towards the bellhousing. Thanks for pointing this out. I work for a car company and ours are done the same way, I am kinda embarrased.... hahaha
