Thanks mate. It has been a bit of graft to get this far.

*Well not married on paper but basically the same. She thinks I've got someone on the side. Guess I do but unfortunately it's made of metal.

Somehow had overlooked this thread when you put it up the other day... now I need to go change pants. Very well done Patrick! Give us more pics of that beauty installed in the car while you make us wait on the numbers! Oh, and when you get it runnin and get around to it, how about a video of the car running with a good exhaust note or two?

Will do BD. I had a play with the exhaust yesterday or at least the 5" turndown tip. It's there to help with the noise. It looks totally ridiculous and I had to laugh but I'll definitely get some video of this thing when it's done. In and out of the car.

Patrick,

Get that motor running. I'm curious as to how the motor will idle without sequential....Is that one of John's turbos?

I've got about 5K on the new motor, and next change we'll go to synthetic. Our suspensions are fairly similar, and you will like the setup. Running 500whp doesn't seem to overpower the suspension. I'm running Azenis all around and once warm, they stick well.

Can't wait to see how the dyno runs turn out. Running 30psi of boost will net over 600whp, so be careful. I have a low boost (one bar) and high boost (21psi) with the push of a button. Once in third, 21psi makes the car fly, and doesn't seem to be too taxing on my axles and six speed. In second, you really feel the rear end squirm, and 15psi gets traction in 2nd.

Also,

I had issues with NEW stock motormounts. There was too much tq and the motor really squished the factory mounts. We upgraded to the LR semi solid mounts and got the motor lowered by 1/2 inch. Idle vibration is just a tad more than stock, but they hold the motor in place.

The motor actually moved so much that the strut bar would hit the intake at WOT.

Just a heads up.

Ah thanks for the heads up on that George. Good tip.
The motor will be running CDI with full sequential too although I too wonder about Idle with pump gas and those massive inj but we'll see.

You will be fine with sequential. I did not use a cam gear to run sequential. I'm running much smaller injectors and the car idles as stock, or better.

whats your definition on massive patric? with proper ecu and diode flyback circuit on injectors its no problem to get huuuuuge injectors to idle good.

well Pat is using massive injectors i still think stagged injection is the answer for a 3.0 on e85

Of which I suggest.
The problem is the time it takes for the injectors to open and close is more than what you need to spray a small enough stream from the HUGE injectors.
Example. 1.3 miliseconds for a 1600cc injector to open and close. Mathematically, you need it to do it in 1.0 = Rich condition.

I can't wait to get back to the mega super 3.0 liter Motor and showcase my Dual stage injector intake manifold I have planned.

1000cc is no problem, 1600cc still works with proper ecu and flyback like I said.

Hmm. Just did a search on the delphi injector. Here are the specs.
.8 msec for open and close is better than I was told.

Static flow rate Up to 20 g/sec
Closing response time 0.4 msec
Opening response time 0.4 msec
Fuel pressure 30-150 bar
Minimum linear flow (at 12.5 g/sec static flow rate) 3.0 mg/pulse
D32 sauter mean diameter (SMD) 12 µm (at 100 bar)
DV90 25 µm (at 100 bar)
0 after inject (no bounce) No bounce at close
Cone angle as required by combustion 40o to 90o
