As usual eh? I guess I'm going to have to do some really cool stuff to really knock your socks off huh? 3 things I have for that. It will take some months though.

This post has been added to the first page so you won't have to scroll through pages to get the complete story, all compiled on the first;

The cage is almost done. Door bars are last so That I can have room to fabricate other stuff and still be able to move. Please look at the second picture and look how tight I got the Halo and the A-pillar bars.. That was a ridiculous amount of work to get done properly and still be able to weld those bastards. Welding. Wow, that is very tough with a TIG and no where to support arms and stay steady. I now have to re-build the rear bumper beam/structure area to fit the fiberglass widebody rear. This is more exciting for me as I get to see a shape of the car. I have to get some more fiberglass parts soon though, and money is hurting right now with a one income household. I probably would have been close to finished by now if that hadn't happened.. Oh well. I will keep pressing. Additional pics below.

Man you aren't kidding....tight as hell, backside corners must've been a nightmare.

Either way, looks awesome. I can't wait to see the finish product....especially the power plant, let's just say I am counting on you this september

Sid, I never answered this.
I hope to be at the same weight I was before the cage build considering all the steel I'm throwing in the car. Praying the fiberglass pieces will make up for the over 100lbs of steel I'm adding back in. Hoping for less, but will be ok if I get back to the weight where I was before with a much stronger and safer chassis.
I'm starting to have doubts now that I'm adding in the heavier motor and safety equipment.

I thought everyone lost interest in the September date since TONE stopped talking ****. The drama can be addicting. I think it would be better if TONE showed up. But I'm going to hold TONY to that good time out at the track. I think needed fun for everyone.

I still have the upper basket part to make. But that will be after I get most of everything done on the inside for easier ingress/egress

Dude.. tell me about it. time I have. Money is now spreading thin. I shouldn't even be building this anymore. It's my crack though. I have to do it.
No. Sticking with the stock fuel tank. It's really light actually. I'm happy with it.

If you look at the cut off roof. You will see a little cut out square (both sides) that I did to weld the upper halo bar. -totally hidden. And then I had to wedge a pry bar in between the roof and the bar to make room to weld. After I did that, I mig welded the part of the roof touching to the upper halo area. I then mig welded the lower bars to the frame. I have some more cool guy brackets to make with the holes in it to tie the rest of the cage to the body.

Amazing work as always. The fitment is the best I've seen in a 944/968
Why not a lower crossbrace that attaches to the top of the torque tube housing?
(below the crossbrace for the belts)
