Yea, kind of in the middle of a true CAI project and loving it with this cold air up here in D.C. ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I can put pics up if anyone cares, but is just a pipe running from the MAF through the hole in the quarter panel area wrapped in air filter protector.
So this is getting ZERO under hood hot air.![rockon](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/rockon.gif)
Very noticeable difference in spool and throttle sucking in 20 degree air. Seems more noticeable in lower gears???

hey whats up!
Yea, still deciding if I want to change out the turbo or not. Plus gotta wait for warmer weather to work out side with no garage access right now.
You still doing the rebuild on your 951 motor?

It is running extremely rich, and I'm compensating with the MAFterburner software, but I need to find the root cause. All the sensors seem to be ok, and I just noticed something that makes me think that the harness from the TPS to the DME may be causing a problem, so that's my current area of focus. It's been a bit frustrating though. Everytime I fix one thing, something else surfaces. It's ok though, I've replaced so much that once I get it running well, it should be fairly trouble free. *crosses fingers*
How's your car been? I need to get out to another thursday Cici's gtg.

I would look for leaks after the MAF. Air that has been metered is not getting to the intake so you are running rich.

I did find a few small leaks, but it's more than that. I'm compensating -75 points on the MAFterburner to get it to run properly. It's running crazy rich. I'm pretty sure something is telling the DME that the car is running much higher in the fuel map than it is.

Yeah, I've double checked all the wiring, and the MAFterburner adjustment does make a difference. That actually reminds me, I need to call lindsey racing and verify that one of the voltage readings coming into the MAFterburner isn't out of spec. Another possible lead I forgot about.

Ok, I got lucky!
Cable is ok, the lever part/connector is what broke so can fix that later as the hood can be opened and closed.
Attached are some pics. nothing fancy as I was just messing with the idea. I think I will run it with no pipe out of the MAF, but just the MAF itself at the hole in the fender with the filter wrapped on the MAF.
Mostly because the MAF is a 90mm (3.5") and now I have a 3" pipe to MAF 3.5" then back down to 3" into the turbo.
If the MAF directly then I can have a full 3.5" intake from the outside air into the intake track.
Even on super cold days under hood air is still well over 100 degrees. This way I am sucking in pretty close to ambient; i.e 30-40 degree air.
