Thanks - looking forward to seeing the 924 projects very much. One other quick question, you mentioned that the factory hood shocks wouldn't work with the FRP hood - will your kit include some kind of device to hold the hood up (it's been a long day and I'm blanking on a proper name for this)? Or if we get the kit, are we going to be left to our own devices to engineer something/get creative with a 2x4 when the hood is open?

That is the plan, at least for my application since I am trying to be as accurate as possible. But yes the Cup car hood prop was the same design as the 924.

well yeh sean I've been crapping on about fiberglass full fronts for ages and I'm pretty confident i can get CF bonnets made down here for a better price I still think i will better off getting 2 guards and bonnet in fiberglass than just a CF bonnet for the same price .
I'm toying with the CF dash and console they have them down here .pretty sure the CF hoods are about 11or 12 hundred but fg is like 600 and guards are 350 i think not sure i just know its about 2300 for every thing forward of the windscreen but i think i just picked 4 guards but i realy think i push it down below 2k for full fronts if i got 4 of us in so perhaps scot geneco and pat ?

A quick update ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I'm just working out costs and suppliers at the moment so hope to have the completed info shortly.
Below is a picture of the OEM Cup hood pins:

I have found a company who will make 100% exact replicas of these based on there current product:
![](http://www.deutschnine.com/rennlist/porsche-944-frp-hood/Porsche-944-Turbo-Cup-OEM-folding-bail-handle-02.jpg)
The above will be finished in the correct gold finish (zinc plated yellow chromate) with the correct length shaft.
Below is a picture supplied by Colin of the actual pin fitted to the Cup FRP hood/bonnet (Thanks Colin

And below again is another picture showing the OEM mounting bracket:

We will make sure that the brackets are as close to OEM as possible for the budget as this will be a low volume manufacturing run.
I will also make sure that the brackets will offer retro fitting for people that would like to run a more modern quick release system and ensue the kit also works for the 968![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Those wanting a more modern fittings ... Then kit will be adapted for this:

or

More so for the 968
Cheers,
Mark![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Ehall, I bet a place like Pegasus Racing has those. You might also be able to find them from a place like McMaster as "quarter turn fasteners".
For everyone else: I found the original p/n's for those two side brackets (that the pins go into). 951.501.225.00 and 951.501.226.00 - but I have no idea if they're still available.
