Naaahhhhh- I don't think that'll work- I like to order my alternators 10 at a time & I don't think they have that many...

Seriously, what's w/that price? If I had $13k to put into an alternator, I'd have quite the 951 (& don't even get me started on all the other project cars I'd take).

And.... water cooled? The picture pretty clearly shows air cooling vents... and who would want water flowing through an electronic part anyways?

On a related topic, could somebody link the the thread with the nissan quest alternator? The one in my 951 is all but toast and I am starting the parts ordering for the major overhaul next spring.

I am going to do this on my car aswell this winter while i have the turbo out. Im only putting in a 60-1, but it will be nice to have the extra space to work around.

The space around the turbo matters the most to me, should help keep the alternator from heat soaking and the new one looks to vent a lot better. My hat is off for discovering this, and the next owner of my 951 will appreciate this a ton I'm sure.

I was searching for this thread for about 40 minutes earlier without any success at all Seems I fail at search. Thanks for posting it.
