Is clearance going to be an issue running pretty much stock suspension with a 245 or 255 up front?

running the smaller MO30 springs or coilovers you have alot more clearance on the front tire- justin has a set of weltmeister springs that are stock diameter- you may want to stick w/ a 245/235 up front for clearance although maybe someone else is running 255's and stock size springs.

235/265 on my 18's, it was the closest match in diameter (check out the tire specs page on tirerack). If it's for a street car look like mine, you can always add small spacers to fill the fenders. I've pushed the car hard and had the 235's rub lightly with koni's/M030 bars/200lb. stock size springs. With a stock set up I would personally be careful of 245+ my .02

Rolling the fender, may be an option here...and remove any doubt of rub.

I trialed a friend's 295s MPSC on 10" Enkeis on the front of my car which is very much lowered. These tyres are way wider than my Toyo 285s on Simmons 10" wheel. It was an experiment to see if I could fit the same wheel that I'm buying (Enkei) with a narrower tyre on the front (probably 285). I run a lot of neg and have 2.25" springs. Those big tyres just fitted, I mean just. Didn't drive it though, but I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine with 255s up there. I run 255s daily with no issues.

Thank you John.

I think I am going to do a 235/40 front and a 275/35 rear.

If anyone has any concerns with this set up rubbing please let me know.

Just for info I run 255s on the front of my 86 with Leda coilovers and stock fenders without any rubbing issues at all, this is on 9" rims.

Personally I'd use your rims for what they're worth and go a bit bigger. Plenty of people have bigger than those on our cars with no hassles at all. Guess they're more expensive to replace.
