Thermal coatings (2.7 head)
Head gasket set
Balance Shaft bearings
Rollers, t-belt, b/s belt
Waterpump
Thermostat (2) and clip/o-rings
Re-using old hoses?
Oil pump (used s/b ok)

Many miscellaneous seals (aluminum rings, o-rings, etc.)
Replacement fasteners (they break)
Turbocharger (for 3L)
Engine Management (Chips, VR board, s/o, etc.)

Ive already paid for a rebuild, Im just factoring in about how much the extra parts will be, for the 3.0. All i should need right now is: block, pistons, rods, crank, and head. Its looking like Ive sourced them for around 4-5k.

Jeremy: Just getting home right now. Too many errands today. Still gonna have that thing on the rack next week? DJ brought a powerhaus 3.0 16v to check out on Tues. I think powerhaus is trying to sell the parts. haha. Thing is ive sourced the parts for a bit over 4k, powerhaus is wanting like 9k. Waiting for partsheaven to get back to me Mon. With the final price.

I will most likely be migrating to vitesse software, piggyback, and MAF, eventually. 4-500 rwhp would be plenty for me right now.

That's a pretty tight budget for a 3.0 liter. I had my motor built by David at Powerhaus. It cost me a lot. Yeah I have a hell of a motor but damn. No wonder I'm his number one customer...

4-5k for block, pistons, rods, head, crank is tight? Ive sourced the head for 375, crank for 1200, pistons/rods for about 1600, waiting on an exact price on a block somewhere a bit north of 1500 at most. That adds up to 4675. So around 4-5k. Theyre insisting on using a 89' 2.7 block, and head. I was told you have to change the head studs to put the 2.7 head on a 968 or s2 block. Also that it wasnt advisable to change the studs. I thought they were all the same block??
