I understand how tough it can be to plan a get-together. Of course, everyone's welcome and I hope to meet at least a few of you on the 1st!

Cool, looking forward to it.

Jason at Paragon is trying to get my flywheel shipped to me in time, there's a small chance it won't make it. I guess they don't have those in stock and their supplier is running behind.

Even if I don't have the new aluminum flywheel, I'll take my chances with the old one. It's probably fine given how gently I usually drive.

See you guys on the 1st.

Van: Mind PM'ing me your address?

Book time for a clutch is 2 months and many holes punched in the sheetrock. That is unless you know what your doing or have a lift.

I'm hoping for a 2 piece crossover pipe... For some reason, when I've been underneath the car before I seem to have noticed a two piece. I hope my memory is right, although, I don't think any stock 86' could have a two piece.

Thumbs up

Ahhhh. I'm getting a warm and fuzzy feeling reading all of this. I'm a newbe just purchasing my 951 last Saturday and the comradery and willingness to help each other out is very promising. I wish I was back east so I could show up and get some experience myself. Haven't turned a wrench on mine yet, but it's coming. I never wanted to be a Saab mechanic either until my 900 turbo convertible transmission linkage broke. Bear with me, I'm still getting my learn on.

86 951 Stock (I think. Has definitely been to track by previous owner)
92 Saab 900 Turbo Convertible (4 sale)
91 Lexus ES250
94 Jeep Cherokee

If anyone coming to Van's has an extra coolant thermostat, I'll take it off your hands. I watched my temp climb really slowly this cold morning...

Van, wouldn't autozone or pep boys have something like that? I might be able to swing by a local store on the way to get one.

I doubt they'd have one in stock... but they can probably get one for you for the next day. Same with a Porsche, VW, BMW, Audi, etc shop. They should be able to order it for the next day.

Van,

Ok i'll try to get ahold of a thermostat today then.

Looks like I won't be getting the aluminum flywheel in time, seems some trouble with the supplier.

I do have all of the other parts in hand though.
