Default 400 rwhp on k26 - vent to atmosphere - ebay

Is this a lister's car?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...mZ110294223505

Interesting custom intake manifold and the throttle body isn't stock either. The hotside of the turbo looks pretty big - might be a #8. I would be interested to see the dyno sheet on this....

It never ceases to amaze me that some people can't take the time to turn off caps lock and use a spell check when making an Ebay ad.

Is it correct tht 420cc/min injectors converts to 40 lbs/hour? Seems like they would be beyond maxed out at 400 rwhp?

It has a 3 YEARS OLD PAIN JOB. Sounds like an accurate description for a highly modified 944 to me..

Default 15psi spring on that car

I took out my high press dual spring out of my Tial. When I swapped to k26-8 hybrid it went from 15 to overboost 20psi @ only 5000rpm. The k26-6 only peaked @15psi rebuilt !

Removed HP spring and fell to 12psi single spring which was fun because I could mash the throttle like most 4bangers. After getting passed by a C5, I put back the boost control and set to 18-19psi and boost curve is smooth and pulls up to redline.

15psi spring won't open(overboost 20+) with k26-8, and with k26-6 it's perfect ( a LBE for $400 Less than Tial would also work).

Maybe HP spring was designed for 3" inlet turbochargers, not sure the factory DME likes HP springs however or 3" turbo.

Stock wastegate won't fit my 3" SFR race pipes, so I'm out $500 for Tial which does same job as leaky stock WG helped with LBE type check valve
Tial is ideal for EBC like Apexi , has dual ports.

k26-8 hybrid bb has decent flow and keeps 34lb inj which I flow matched. Doing the Lindsey porting and milling the head, I expect @20psi, 111oct, 360ft lb torque with DME and stock inj, 3bar AFPR, stock intake manifold, stock flapper meter, 3" Race pipes..

ZERO tuning, +30mpg

I sold my ARC2 MAF, idle changed with the weather change.
Cup chips.

That is too bad

The ebay add is probably just a case of the seller not being familiar with the car..

Well - not sure how not knowing any better justifies impossible hp claims. He could have just left that part out.

Set - Local dyno shop
Characters: Dyno operator, new 944 turbo owner

Dyno Operator: Here you go sir - 300 rwhp (if he is lucky).
New 944 owner: No worries. The seller claimed 400 rwhp but since the previous owner of the car just passed away I am not angry. I do not feel defrauded. At least until I find out the 3 year old PAIN job was done at Macco.
Dyno Operator: Hmm - ah yeah - that will be $75 for the run - good luck.
