Yep...I had to keep the car an extra few weeks for some splitter work so I did not get it painted when I thought I was. However, I was by there this afternoon and he is taking it in Thursday and I am picking it up on Monday (he's working the weekend to complete it). I want you to see the quality of his work before you make a decision....I did ask him about getting your car in, and he pretty much echoed what I was thinking...show you mine, and if you like, call him. $1300.00 cash...no body work I explaied that you would need some and he'll work with you.
I am still working feverishly on the splitters...we ran into an oven problem, (splitters are slightly too big for what we have) so I am tryinng to find the most prudent method to resolve this. The estimates for these larger ovens go anywhere from 10K to 25K dollars. That's a pretty big hit, but with so much already invested it makes little sense to not finish...October 10th...ugh.

I'm going to go with "if you're happy, then I'd be happy". I'm just looking to get the car looking decent. It's my daily driver and I hit cones when I autocross, so I'm not looking for show car quality. I just don't want to end up with peeling/dull paint. My preference is for PPG Concepts paint because of past positive experiences, but I'd like to talk to the guy (and I'd pay him cash too).
Hope you get your oven issue resolved! I'm not in a huge rush anyway

Yes there was/is a delay...I posted it here...I thought. Here is the reason/solution:
1.Our in-house equipment proved not to be suitable for a model of this dimension.
2. I outsourced the production to a local manufacturer who is 2 weeks or so behind on giving me the finals for fitment.
3. Being extremely detail and schedule oriented, (READ: do what I expect of you when I am paying you $17,489.66 to build my F@#KING templates) I am highly aggravated when someone or some company does not meet the pre-determined production milestones for which they are contractually obligated to fulfill.
4. Thus I have put the first manu. on notice...sent the project to another manu....and have purchased a larger HEATMOLD/VACFORM machine (delivery estimated 2nd week of Nov.) to do it myself in the event that either of the first 2 manu.'s can't get their collective heads out of their a$$.
I apologize I could not deliver on the estimated dates. I am doing everything in my power to expedite the production of ALL models. Believe me...my accountants are ready to hang me.
NOW...in other news...I have decided to expand and make a real business out of this and other products. The new website will be up and running by Wed/Thurs of the coming week...be sure to check it out:
www.patrickporsche-aero.com
I am focusing primarily on the cosmetic, aero and audio/entertainment markets. I will be expanding the inventory constantly, but here are a few items for sale upon launch:
-4 piece wings -3 piece wings -3 piece low profile spoiler
-speaker adaptors -fiberglass speaker pods -subwoofer enclosures
-Full NAVIGATION/BLUETOOTH/CD/DVD/MP3/SD/USB head units with custom trim/console plates. Can also display any "live tuning" graphs/charts via A/V inputs.
-clear AND smoked lens covers for the front, side front and side rear markers
-clear lens kits for the rear ambers
I know everyone is more into performance items....but now at least you have some options to make your car look a bit "fresher", while enjoying the interior technology of modern sportscars.

Wow, I would personally like to thank you for all the work and effort you are putting into this. You are doing something that almost nobody here would be willing to do.

In reading my update above...I am just a bit frustrated with the lethargy displayed by my first manufacturer as the splitters were to be the "launching pad" for everything else.
Oh well...at least you'll have some new goodies to install while I tidy up the splitter loose ends.

Thanks for the update Patrick and more importantly, for all the effort.
I know others have run into trademark problems using 'Porsche' in their company/URL names, hopefully you've looked into this? I'm no lawyer, just trying to save you some hassle down the road...
