Default I don't drive in the rain, do you?

I avoid the rain. People make fun of me, because i don't drive in the rain. I don't care though, my excuse is -- hey, I know this is a 22 year old car and I also know the DME could get wet and cause the TPS to stick at 1300~ rpm. I'm also afraid of the rubber under the hood cracking. The speed sensor, reference sensor getting bad. My car is a princess and beautiful, it deserves that respect, doesn't it?

If it rains it rains. Almost 50% of my track time this season has been in rain.. It evens out the field in racing I can tell you..

Just curious but were you not the guy that never goes above 3000rpm or something like that? For some reason your name stuck...

I have no choice but drive in the rain....! Being in Ireland its either raining or its going to rain ...!

My car is never fully dry and has been fantastically reliable.... No leaks or electrical issues ....!

The only downside is ... The dirt and s**t ... But I wash it fairly regular....!

Granted now there would be no real downpours here but its always damp...! Regular usage is the key..!

The only danger is from driving in the rain with no LSD....! DODGEY...!

The cars were meant to be driven so put the wipers on and drive.... FFS A car that is "molycoddled" will give a lot more trouble than a car that is used regularly....!

If I see in the forcast it's gonna rain, I dont drive it, I take the truck. But we have 280 sunny days here in NC so it gets rode hard, and put away dry on those days.

Drive in the rain (when it rains in Dubai, it really goes crazy) and even in the freaking sandstorms...

No worries.
I assume you're not on the West side as it always rains there doesn't it? I've been to Vancouver and we missed the rain, but I'm told that was dumb luck. Nice place.
EDIT: Sorry just read Toronto on your sig.
I guess it's just a car. The only thing is that I find the demisters in these cars pretty suspect.

This is my first summer with a 951. It just so happens this summer in Toronto was a record breaker. We never this much rain in one summer by far. As i write this, it's also raining.

If you respect your car then drive it whatever the weather. These things want to be driven and when mine hasn't been driven for a while it complains by giving me a load of little niggly problems and issues -which mysteriously stop when I start driving the car again! The classic one is the ABS light. If I don't drive the car for a month or so it will come on when I start drving the car, but after a few hundred or so miles it stops coming on. Its like my wife - If I neglect it, it will give me grief.

We had a slogan that we used when I was in the Navy describing this kind of behavior: All-weather aircraft, fair-weather pilots.

Really no fun on I-95 during the many rain storms we have here in Florida during the summer. Little rain in the winter however, and then the fun starts, just wish the roads had a few bends in them.
