20 feet is up there! I just googled it and I think you would have to be at around 25,000 feet to get .35 bar atmospheric pressure. No, I don't have any other ideas... you're seeing that without starting the engine?

If that's the case then you have an issue somewhere, even if the car runs fine. Maybe an obstruction in a line.

Umm..I don't know Bruce.....

I'm telling you there is a distinct difference from 22 to 25. I have such a hard time staying at 22 it's crazy. At least with my car the feeling is VERY noticeable. I remember when I was having trouble with my MAP setup cutting out at 23 it drove me crazy b/c of the power difference. I think I lost some hair on that one.

C'mon man (Bruce) throw some fuel at it and go for it.

I need another one of you guys to show em what's up with this fuel .

that means your gauge is reading vacuum- when you touch the gas it should go to 1bar or 0 on an autometer until you get into boost- which is over 1bar atmospheric on a stock gauge.... like 11lbs is stock boost.

Mine sits at one line below 1 bar...
I'm at ~5,000 feet.

95one, just discovered my car really likes 1.4 bar (20'ish psi) boost! Had it set for hi-boost @ 1.2 bar, but then added 100 race gas and when I punched the limit reading after the first run it read 1.43'ish! Dang! Need to try that on the dyno...my HP is way better than I advertised @ the 1 bar dyno setting...

Moral? Original post dude, yer car LOVES boost provided the rest of the bits and pieces are in proper working order. Lifting because you are running less than 1 bar (2 bar reading on the stock gauge) is not required. You can run it all day at 1 bar/14.5 psi and be happy. Just make sure everything else is working well before you do it...

I have nothing to add.

But this post does remind me how much I miss my 2004 3.0 Z4. I turned her in with only 7k on the clock

Its the gauge. I was trying to figure out why it was doing that too. It turns out that the boost gauge in her car was wrong. Its running like 11PSI. Try hooking up an aftermarket boost gauge.
