Default How to disassemble and clean a one piece OPRV

I would like to hear from the people who have done this and know about the right way to disassemble and clean a one piece OPRV. I looked in the usual places and found suggestions that it should be done, but not necessarily how to do it. Hopefully we can collect that information here for future searches. TIA.

I have tried to disassemble one before, but it was never smooth after that. Basically, i ruined it. The factory service manual says they are not serviceable. The trick is to depress the internal plunger so you can remove the circlip without damaging anything. I hope you have better luck than I did.

I just soak them in clean engine oil, kinda like lifters.

Thanks for the reply Keith. I have seen pictures of them disassembled, but was worried about making a mistake in the process. I also had someone suggest using an ultrasonic washer to clean it. That sounds like a great idea, but does anyone know if that is something that a shop would typically have?
