I installed a Lindsey Racing Stage II MAF and 951 MAF Chips. It runs like crap and im basically stumbling around town. I checked the voltage at the MAF and its the proper 12 volts. No vacuums leaks and I've tried turning the MAF as RBerry suggested and made sure the DME dial was at zero and even played with those settings still nothing. After speaking to Dave at LR he thinks I'm not getting enough gas. Anyone have these kinds of trouble with this setup. I want to know if I can use the LR Stage II plumbimg and stick the stock AFM in there as an alternative and call it a day. I'm not getting the proper support for this problem so I've had it. Anyone got pics of this setup.

Except I dont have any MAF chips, im running an autothority AFM chip no mafterburner.

Guess thats why im having a problem...

You need to use tuning software of some sort unless you have a REAL MAF CHIP, not just a "MAF" chip with the fuel adjusted a bit at idle to compensate for the increased airflow.

Russell told me you can ONLY get his REAL MAF CHIP if you buy a 340 rwhp kit from Lindsey Racing...

I think it would work with tuning software. My car wouldn't even run before I tuned it. I'm using the 951MAX chips LR Stage II MAF and the MAFterburner and Zientronix for tuning and datalogging.

What Rich (chitown944) is running is a LR maf and chips from Russell made for this setup.

Rich DOES NOT have a mafterburner or powerperfect, etc.

Interesting.. I'd love to know more! I had a wonderful tune before going to the MAF setup.. now it's been a slow process from square one (making it idle) and I'm not nearly happy with the way the car runs yet!

Well the way it was presented to me was that ALL I would need is the MAF chip with the LF Stage II kit. I was under the impression that its the same one thats made for Lindey. If someone were to tell me that my Stage II setup will only work with their chip I wouldnt have bought from RBerry. If your telling me that you've been going thru the same stuff I'm going thru and your still not happy that confirms that the problem is in fact the chip. I've left numerous VMs and email to RB and havent gotten a timely response. In the meantime I'm sputtering around town and thats very embarassing in this car.

Well after reading a few threads here seems like Im going back to stock AFM. If I knew I had to deal with this bull**** I wouldnt have even bought the MAF or new chips. I'll be posting this **** for sale. It seems like this setup is for someone that want to spend way more money than I do. Anyone interested in the MAF please PM me.

yes, exactly ehall. chips that russell burned for him for the maf. supposedly the same chips that LR puts in their 270 rwhp kit.
