Sometimes called a "bore scope".

You can find them online and at most hardware stores.

It's called a boroscope.

Here is one on Griot's Garage, not sure how good it is or how it compares in price but I remembered seeing it in the catalog.

it intake is off you can see a portion of the top of cylinder by looking past open valve. Roll the motor over and take a look at next cylinder. Bore scope will show you more, but free to look without one

I have a borescope, and it gives you very limited visibility into the cylinder. You can see directly into the cylinder at the piston, but for checking cylinder wall health, you will really need something with a 90 degree lens. A straight lens will not help you out.

I just picked up another boroscope from Oreilly's with an LCD screen for under 100 bucks. My other scope you have an eyepiece like looking into a microscope.

Before I rebuilt my motor I borrowed one of the borescopes that has the remote control tip. It did 120 degree bends through a joystick so I was able to look at the bores and parts of the chamber. It helped put my mind at ease since there were no issues but it was not necessary.
