Hello All,

I have a '86 951 with factory sticker that says "paint no/interior : LY7U/LY7U".

I checked that out and LY7U is a special color called slate gray metallic. First, it would be cool to see a pic of it. :-) Then my question would be, what does a slate gray metallic interior looks like?

My car now is a dark blue with black interior, which I thought was the original color since day 1.

Also carpets, there are 'longhair' one and 'shorthair' ones. Are they different on a N/A vs. a Turbo? Which option codes denote that?

Lastly, anyone knows what C16 M-code is?

slate grey is not an interior color. At least not on 944s.

Look again at the factory sticker on the car or on the first page of your warranty book, on the same line as but to the far right of the LY7U/LY7U will be your interior color code.

You're right! There is "LT" next to it. What color is that?
