stock.. Just like the rest of the motor. Only thing aftermarket is the cam+head
firewall completely welded in and repaired and repainted.
old turbo vs new unit
fuel rail
pulley
bryan(i assume)working hard
MOTOR FINALLY SITTING BACK IN CAR!@!
oil lines and various other things needed will be on the car today and first fire should happen tomorrow no problem.

well the Stage 2 should spool up faster on a 2.5ltr, with head work. It should really hit hard, and pretty early. The Stage 3 will have more up top, and spool slightly later. It's really a matter of where you want to perform the best.
That said, I'm not speaking for either of the John's.

The stage 3 is a great unit but, alot more up top sacrifcing a little on the low end. I want a street turbo that has similar spoolup charactristics comparable to the 26/6 but, that can deliver alot more up top.
Its my understanding the stage 2 is good for around 400 at the wheels which is about the most i'd ever want outta it. I'm not looking to be the next special tool. The car will see 18psi and pump gas 90% of the time.
well see what it makes for power but, im more or I should say equally concerned with power deliver and how early it kicks in. After talking with john this was decided to be the best course of action for my car and my plans.

Well I would think that even VR would be surprised if the StageII reached 400whp at 18psi on pump, but I can attest that having been in JET951's 2.5L with the SIII kit, you really are not penalised by lag and it holds boost to redline so I wouldn't be worried about that turbo on a 2.5L IMHO

i'm hoping for 350ish on pump.

yeah it'll be interesting to see your numbers.
my stage 2 is a smaller unit than what I could have gone with but, my motor is stock displacement and its a street car anyhow. I'm not so concerned with top end power as I am driveablity and powerband. However I think we got the size right I should be able to make decent power on the big end too.
time will tell I suppose. Regardless its just a stock 2.5 with a head/cam. Nothing special about it.

We took my car to 18psi today. 345hp. It's getting better the higher I go. Its really proving that 440hp is the sweet spot. I'm out of injector at this power though!? 1600's going in on Friday. Do I get an award for the largest injector? Anyone?...... no? yeah. I didn't think so.
With your head work and cam. I can't see how you wouldn't get at least 360. at least.

1000's.
I just did RC engineering injector calculator... It's dead on.
It says I would run out of injector at 340 whp at 55psi. with 1000cc using a bsfc of .86 (E-85)
- 80% duty cycle -
It also says if I want to go to 500 crank hp. (They all use a 14% loss) = 430whp
I will need 1300's
Soooo 1600's it is.

am I going to run outta injector/fuel
im running a 044 fuel pump,83lb injectors, 3.0bar fuel pressure.
