I would also like to add that in this case comparing plug manufactures that this statement most definately applies to me:

Thanks for all the input guys, I'll be checking the plug here in about a week and will post a picture. Anyone ever check out the bores by sticking a borescope down the spark plug hole?

Nah that one doesn't apply here. This threw me for a loop 12 years ago when I decided I was "upping" the N20 shot on my mustang by another 100 and wanted to go from +1 degree colder champion to a +2 degree colder NGK v-power. Interesting sound it made........

Lesson learned for me.......... don't take advice from the $6.75 per hour guy @ the autoparts store on spark plug heat ranges.

So what would be the preferred plug for a modified 951?
What is it all based on? Boost, timing, fuel, c/r, cubic capacity ???

I base my stuff on cylinder pressure and temps (egts).

If I am running over 12:1 (effective ratio) I like to go 1 step colder NGK 7s (don't want to make the labeling mistake again )

14:1 2 steps NGK 8s

16:1 or nitrous 3 steps NGK 9's

I still can't believe I wasn't aware of the labeling issue after all these years. I guess it's because all the cylinder heads I have ran came out of a box and not with a car. No matter what I still feel like a dummy.

Just assume anything I say regarding plugs is NGK related

Uh...ok? Pardon me, but what does this have to do with my spark plug? I know that and oriented it correctly when I had the intake off.
