Hello.
I have installed a new Lindsey DPW and MBC some years ago and was extremely happy till recently.
Suddenly the car started rising boost uncontrollably. I visually checked every connection and hose, and all is in place.
I also opened the dpw and it looked fine.
I have only done about 3000 miles since installation (5 years ago)
What could have suddenly gone wrong ?

First remove the lines and search for leaks then test/replace the MBC, they're cheap.
Lindsey units are known for failure as they are pretty much the same part as the factory. Remove it and hook it up to some kind of pump and see what it does. Normally they fail open but you never know.

I think he means the black **** is pressed in?
But that would not be true as that only locks the **** from turning and nothing else really.
By blowing on the line and feeling it rise doesn't mean your lines are good. Its about how much air. If your baseline air flow is off and it changes as you turn it only means the MBC is functional not that there isn't a hole or misconection

Dan's about to get married so I don't think he'll be reading this. Perhaps try the Lindsey forum if it's still up and running?

The MBC internals are probably toast. Take the MBC apart. If the plastic diaphragm pieces inside look deformed etc., you will need a rebuild kit. LR MBC Kit
