Don't believe everything you read on rennlist. For every 15 opinions one of them actually has some experience.

>>>money aside, k27 will get you full boost around 4000-4400rpm and a garret t3/t4R producing similar power will get full boost at 2800-3200rpm<<<

Huh?

A K27/6 is at full boost by 3200rpms (or sooner) on a stock long block 951 easily. I don't know where you get your information, but it is clearly incorrect.

Furthermore, quoting a generic set of terms like "garret t3/t4R" is pretty much meaningless...

That generic description (without things like a/r ratio, turbine trim, compressor specifics, etc...) could mean many different things.

Exactly which compressor/turbine did you use to make your comparison? And do you have any dyno sheets to back it up?

My 2 cents...

Stay away from a full KKK or KKK replica turbo if you budget and desire for performance allows. The garrett stuff is just so much better. Having run a stock turbo, and a 60-1 with KKK housing and then the 60-1 with garrett turbine housing, the full garrett setup kills the KKK and KKK replica. Now some will say whats this guy on what does he mean by kill it... well, better spool, more peak power, and significantly better torque curve over the whole rpm range. now if you budget doesnt allow a full garrett setup, fine, but if it does, then its a no brainer... even the non GT series (aka GT3076 etc) like the TO4 with a .63 or .84 turbine A/R are really good choices.
