Glad it was nothing more than a head gasket!
Did you change the color of the cam box? It looks green on my monitor.

Also, depending on one's beliefs, a layer of Hylomar (blue) is also advisable if the surface is not 50RA or better. Per Several MLS users.

Same color, just a bad pic.

MLS went on clean and dry, only change I made was last torque step increased to 90lbs instead of the 75lbs as before.

She's back together, slight exhaust leak and a 1200 rpm idle to sort out.

I want to flush out the coolant system, is the Prestone stuff ok to use ?

That'll buff right out.

Looking good, but for the pipe. I take it the gasket sealed with no issues?

I had the same thing happen to mine last year. A good tig welder will fix it. Lindsey will fix it also if you don't have a welder local.

Tom, gasket seemed to be sealing fine.

Dan, I do have a local welder, will visit him tomorrow.

Good news David. By the way, is your header panel a modified stock metal one or something else. Looks like a neatly modified stock one judging by the thickness. Have you done a c/r test and if so what numbers are you getting?

I sold a custom welded wastegate to x-over pipe, good job and it seem to be a solution for this comom problem on 951's
