Default Why does my dipstick keep popping up??

After taking off the intake, isv, turbo, exhaust, and putting in a ****load of new parts and powder coated intake, vacuum lines,tps,etc...My dipstick keeps popping up after boost. Anyone know why? (And my oil doesn't look like as milkshake so im hoping its not the head gasket.)

Did you tighten it to the intake manifold. That should seure it in place .
Also, does it have an o'ring where it enters the oil pan?

After reading the subject I had to laugh.......

Do you possiblely have the breather and the IAC hoses swapped between the IC pipe and turbo inlet??

Yeah I think you connected some vacuum hoses wrong.

OR if you have a breather venting to atmo and haven't enlarged the hole, this could also be the cause.

You're sick. Sick.

I would agree with this. Check those two lines.

I vent mine this way and have no blowby issues. It sounds as if it's not being vented at all or as if boost was being routed into the crankcase. If it was pressuring from boost, I would think you would be seeing oil spraying from every single hole it could.

Go back and reread all the posts and this is one of the funniest threads I've read in a while.

heavy breathers, blowby, enlarged holes, etc.

...and someone is having trouble keeping his "dipstick" in the hole yet it keeps popping up.

Is there a check valve that must be in one of the hoses? I install a venturi delete kit as well and did not put any check valve in the hoses, followed the exact diagram lindsey has and even call matt to make sure everything was perfect. Did connect them right but didn't ask about a check valve or something like that.

Its not the housing but the actual dipstick. I am waiting on the spacer and o-ring from lindsey. Should be here on friday, but put in an o-ring i can find for now.

I have bad news. My head gasket is blown and will be changing it soon. I got like a creamy oil and the motor will not even run right now, hard to start and backfires the dipstick comes out. Still didn't do the compression check yet but convinced that it is it. Will check compression and order a new gasket set and replace it later this week or next week.

What are your opinions on Widefire vs. Cometic??????????????
