So my buy back is set at $1875. Nice hunh. We are checking out the car that they compared it to and it is complete just. The report says, engine- needs minor work, trans- need minor work, body, paint and, trim- all have moderate damage.

you should be able to get most of the used body parts for under $700. What's the cost of the rim repair?

What does the inside of the engine compartment look like?

So even better. I just contacted the owner of the car that they used to compare mine to. They list his car as a turbo S, it's not. He's going to send me detailed pictures of the car and it's condition.

Man get your own appraisal done...it was the best 300 bucks i've ever spent...so this is how it goes...my appraiser comes back much higher then they offered...they said no way...we'll need to do our own independant appraisal...then their independant comes back with an even higher value than mine...and due to company policies they have to give me what they value it as at a minimum...so that 300 dollar appraisal made them give me almost 40% more for my car...afterwards i read up on it...and insurance companies don't want you to do this cause they know the real value is considerable higher...

Did you already replace the car with a 968? Tell us about it.

Moral of the story: Purchase "agreed value" insurance for exceptionally valued cars. Do it....Doooo it...Doo it.

Justin, 350 a year are you serious? My fiancee works for Auto Owners and even with a discount its about 600 a year for full coverage. I went to hagerty's site and could't get a quote lower than $600 for a 20k value and 1000 deductible... Did you get a quote like this online but once you called them it was cheaper? I'm 26 years old, do they base it on age?? Do you take the coverage off in the winter time? I would like to get my turbo and 928 through hagerty but the cheapest I can get it at is $1100-1200 a year (for both). Not really worth switching than..

Age, marriage, mortgage, kids, demographics - all play into insurance rates.

Look on ebay at number 190189132976 and 290195936841. A couple of very nice 944T you can compare yours to for a higher value.

I dont know if they changed stuff around but when I had my silver 951 with them in 05-06 it was $251 for the year. Now that was only an agreed value of $10g's. The white 951 is at $15g's and the policy for the whole year was right around $350. I was 26 not married in 05. And the only thing that changed when I insured the white 951 with them was I am married now. I also called them on the phone to set everything up. Hope this helps.

oh also they might know about all your street racing..... hahahahahahahahhaa

See ya man,
