You just say fine. have all the parts removed. Give them the car. you have all the cool guy parts. They almost always truly don't care about those parts.

In the very least, buy back the car. Part it out after that. They will NEVER give you what you put into it. Been through this 3 times between me and two of my friends.

Without question this car is not leaving my garage, so the parts are staying, but at the same time I am entitled to get FMV for my car. Using 1 car to compare to mine is in no ****ing way FMV. I realize that I will never get 60k for my car. That's what I have in it. But, no I never planned on selling the car, so that wasn't a concern of mine. It is there job to make it as if this never happened to me, so one way or the other I am going to make sure that happens. I have the means to get another car while I fight this out, so I don't care how long it takes.

Thanks, that is a great site and a good source. I would say that our cars are pretty comparable to. You had less miles, but my car was a little newer.

Liability, full coverage isnt worth it! Better off parting/fixing it yourself. In arizona, they want so much for full coverage, after about 2 years I would have paid more for insurance than i did for the car, or what the car is worth to them(which isnt spit)! Insurance....what a scam!!

I was just talking with my buddy today about that. I will for sure. How are they with claims? Does it matter of the year of the car?

I just got off the phone with Auto Owners. I just need to get a appraisal done on the car and then it can be insured for that amount. So if anyone else has Auto Owners looks like a apraisal is standard operating procedure. I guess it protects them from paying out 20k on a ragged out car.

All this talk and I might have to go get my car appraised. It's only $75 bucks, and seems like it's well worth it.

We didn't fair to bad when my sisters car was stolen. Paid 8400 and got 8200 back. I realize the two cars are completely different and you have tons invested in your car.

By the way, how do you have THAT much into that car? I'm sorry...but am I missing something just...huge, that's done to that car?

As far as the year I dont think it matters. I have my 86 with them and have it insured for 15g's going to bump it to 20. You can only drive like 2500 per year though. I am sure that will be fine for you. The shipping company that delivered my car to me damaged the car. I went after them and they went out of business. Hagerty stepped right in and wrote a check for $2600 and took care of everything. I think I paid them $350 to cover the car for the year. Oh and also I have no deductibles.
