Default Colorado 951 owners...who does your service???

Colorado 951 owners...I'm not new to the 951 but am in search of a mechanic/shop to service my Turbo.

I have gone to Ed Carroll in Fort Collins for the majority of the service and have gone to Poudre Sports Cars in Fort Collins and Gunbarrel Imports in Niwot from time to time…

I’m looking for a 944/944 Turbo specialist that I can trust….thanks for any help…

chris cervelli (located at peoria and 54th)
i wouldn't even consider taking my car to anyone else!
shoot me a pm if you want his contact info.

btw, I have had the following cars since moving to colorado (986S, 993, 993tt) and had them serviced at
-prestige(ok for a dealer but pricey)
-eurosport (not impressed)
-eisenbuds (good with older stuff but mostly 911 varietal)
-storz (good guys but don't compare to cervelli)

Default I agree with your list, add stevenson to pricey dealerships

Storz seems fair and knowledgable but I felt the same about Euroservce on broadway..

IMHO Poudre Sports Cars is as good as it gets in N. Colorado. While I turn most of my own wrenches I wouldn't hesitate to take my car to them. Stephen has been in business a long time and he is a straight shooter.

Stephen at Poudre has been pretty good about stuff in the past, but does not want to hear anything I say/think might be wrong....H at Ed Carroll has been great to the car but is a moody most of the time....I usually work on my other cars (chevelle, bronco, xterra) but don't even know where to start on the 951....thanks for the help and troppo I'll pm you for the info later....

I'll admit at first I was a bit timid to tear into mine as well, but honestly everyone here will see you through it. There are plenty of listers in Colorado that wrench on their p-cars if you get in a bind.

in Denver, I'd go so far as to get Stevinson Imports. Only have Todd Rigg work on it. he's the only one at the dealership to be certified by Porsche for every production Porsche to date, and he's shop foreman.

Oh, and I do my own work, and I've not touched the engines of anything other than a Porsche. if ya ever need help, call me up. PM me if ya want my phone number.

MY LAST little bit of info... Eurosport Ltd. on Santa Fe and Union. they're great people, they're knowledgeable... however, IMHO, that doesn't make them great techs. I'm of course not going into detail here, because 2 of the 3 burns I've seen were not mine, but IMHO, I'd use them as last resort.

+1 Lots of help on the list and plenty of locals, myself included, that can help with diagnosis and repairs. And the money you save on labor helps rationalize all the hot rod parts

Steven at Poudre Sports Car knows P cars inside and out. He also stands behind his work 100%. He replaced a belt tensioner on my old 951 for free a year after the install because it went bad. I have no reservations at all taking my cars to him.

I have used Weissach in Boulder. They seem pretty good. Make sure you go to someone with real Porsche tools.

I am Stephens son, Zach. I think I remember working on your car a couple of years ago. You were a CSU student, right? Anyway, my dad is very set in his ways and is right most of the time. I am sorry if his additude set you off, and if there is anything that we can do to retain you as a customer, please let me know. Thanks alot
Doc, thanks for the shout out

I've heard great things about Cervelli, does he have a long waiting period/can I make a appointment for May now? I need to get the car in around May? Thanks Greg and Spammajamma.....
