I must say, I like the vented nosepanel, specially on that car what Olli linked. Allthoght Im not sure how it would look on my car its orange so you can see the wenting holes right away, and maybe they are too agressive.. in dark or black car its different story..

I think the 931 vents are by far the best looking vented header option on these cars, Dan's car looks fantastic. Dan, now you are going to have to come up with something new, as it looks like the 944 crowd has caught up to you!

Not so much for the i/c, more for the condenser (if you still run a/c) and the radiator. If you have some direct ducting from the back of the rad, up and through the hood like that race 924 that we all saw some months ago. That is the picture in my mind anyway. Lots of racers have a vented nose panel with vented hood.
Good venting on the 968 Turbo.

I like the way it looks and I agree with the others. The fact you did it yourself makes it twice as cool.

i like the vents, im kinda glad im not the only one - it shows that im not the only one that likes the look. Its just not something you see alot, and i was surprised that the two ive seen are in the same mag! I think i got the idea from NZ951 - well actually i wantd my new car to kinda look like my n/a that had the vents also, but nz just reassured me that it would look ok.

Where is that car now? It had the best N/A front bumper ever.

I started getting so much heat soak that the car would boost cut off at less than 10psi. Pulled the IC ducting to let the air coming in the nosepanel do its job- haven't had a cut off since and the IC lines are cooler going to the intake. There are a lot of theorists around that say the vents don't work, and maybe they aren't efficient enough to be the only source of air to the IC but they do help improve flow. I had one on my n/a as well and it dropped the temp under the hood significantly.

the condenser sits like four inches below the vents in the nose- not sure how the vents would work for the condenser at all- IC sits directly behind the vented nosepanel. I do like the cut out front bumper on the red car- at least they did a good job. Notice it says he has a euro bumper and still has marker lights?
Sorry Dan I was talking about cars like the red one that have changed the stock i/c for a large front mount. With a large front mount i/c it's possible that the i/c itself could create heat issues to the cond/rad. With the vented nose panel similar to the red 968t above, there should be some cool air coming into the top of the cond/rad to help and with a vented hood this would help with the overall flow of in-out air. That's the theory anyway.

Actually it would be better. but the only way it can work is if you direct the air through the intercooler then have it escape out (vented). Its the only way it will work. But your right because 99.9% of the people dont vent it and just have it for looks

LOL " too aggressive" said the guy with the loudest most photographed car on renlist
maybe vents similar to the headlight would be more suitable or just pained grills
