Default Sources for Oil Squirters

I am looking to get a set of squirters for my rebuild. I understand that there are 2 types. Firstly the standard type that squirts at any oil pressure and the second type that only squirt over say 3/4/5 bar sure you get the drift

I am looking for the latter of the 2 types. Anybody know any sources?

The next question would be how do they fit? Resistance? Threaded? Epoxy?

TIA
Tom

Use the 968 part – it’s a little different than the other Porsche squirters.
It’s a friction fit and the crank side of the squirter has a flange so it can’t be pushed through the hole.

As Chris said, the 968 part is teh one to use. If you cannot get hold of the 968 part, there are oil squirters for the 930, 964 and 993 that have been used in the 944 block with good success. All are dealer items and not expensive at all (930 is a bit more expensive than the others).

OT. Jeremy your email is not working.

Anyone know squirter diameters and opening pressure? Early '87 MY engines had one which open at 4 bar pressure. I quess they must be 930 style as it was probably only version available at the time.

Aside from doing crank work this seems like a really good idea to do if you have the bottom end open. How much do these squirters cost and how hard are they to install?

Tom

I used the 993 ones in mine as I couldnt get the 968 ones at the time. They are a little harder to fit as they dont do the interference thing.

If you down near the bottom of the page there is a picture of a block being drilled for the squirters. its a a compound angle to get hte squirters to point in the right direction.

Any update on this, in terms of the opening pressure of the 968 oil squirter and the source for those?
