So, If you go with the KEP pressure plate, what friction disk should I get? Also, will the KEP be compatable with my Spec aluminum flywheel. Thanks in advance.

I run their 6 puck unsprung clutch its a little grabby at first but once its broken in and you take off at 1500or better rpm you dont even notice its a copper ceramic clutch.

Its compatible with your flywheel but we need to know what hp you are shooting for?

Welp, I have a BB T04B stage 3 wheel and a 3 inch turbo back exhaust. Lindsey dual port wastegate and I plan on going with Vitesse's maf and piggy back. So I figure I can get a solid 325whp. Does that sound reasonable? I also have SFR stage 1 header and light wieght power pullies. O-ringed head that has been ported. Lots of little stuff too.

But I am shoot for 325whp area and I think it can be done with that stuff, do you?

Confirm with KEP but I see no reason why it wouldnt be. And for 300hp you can use whatever disc you want. A Cup disc would be fine.

So, if I used the KEP pressure plate with my Spec aluminum flywheel I can use what ever friction disk I want? I have heard that using cup or 930 friction disks with Spec's flywheel doesn't work. Any truth to that?

What I imagine would be the ideal set up for my 325ish rwhp area would be to keep the Spec flywheel...use the KEP pressure plate...and a sprung (not little springs) 6 puk copper metalic disk. Am I on the right track with this?

That's good to know. I was going to run their 6 puck with springs though and
Kep II. Do you do much traffic driving?

Yea i daily drive my car in the summer when its not broken I broke the clutch in driving down to 944fest07 Although you cant really feather the clutch like a organic it will skip and chatter and shake the car but you get used to it

That's why I chose to go with the South Bend disc that has the feramic on one side and their organic on the other side mounted on the large spring 951 disc. Trying to slowly back out of a spot or inching along in traffic I didn't want a lot of chatter. So far after 10,000 miles I like the combination. If you are going to be in the 325 whp range the KEP I with a standard cup disc would be plenty strong and the driveability would be as good as factory.

So, you like the hybrid disk with the metalic on one side and organic on the other. You would say that its good for lite traffic driving? That's what I am looking for. Sounds like a KEP 1 and a hybrid disk with my Spec aluminum flywheel.

I am very happy with it even in heavy traffic. I have a Audi S4 which has a much heavier clutch than the KEP I setup I have in the 951. The Hybrid south Bend I have is not without a tiny bit of chatter but it is very minimal, and I almost don't notice it now. It did however chatter some when new but as I was told after breaking in over a couple thousand miles it went away.

I've just ordered their 6 puk with springs to go with KepII. What do you think the diff. might be between sprung and unsprung?? Stock lightened fly.
