From time to time I might sound like an jackass, but I do it to joke around with people, in real life not on this internet forum I am nice to everybody regardless of race, color or nationality and in the spirit of Christmas I do wish everybody a merry Christmas and Happy new year and if I was mean to anybody please forgive me.

Regards

Lart

You're just being all nice now because you don't want Santa to think you've been bad and not give you that 928 for Christmas that you've always wanted.

Is that an actual Cup car or a road registered RS type thing? Looks like a number plate on the back of it, but not really clear to say positively.
They just get their power down and out so well compared to us. Apparently Cup cars are super stiffly sprung too. Over 1200lb springs I believe.

I agree the cup cars are the cream of the Porsche race cars. When I do run one down and pass it way in the back of my mind I do think for a split second should I really be able to do that but then it's gone and I have my eye on the next one.

Craig, what you need to focus in is pasing 928's on the track since according M. Kibbort they are unbeatable.

"Craig, what you need to focus in is pasing 928's on the track since according M. Kibbort they are unbeatable."

I have video of me lapping a 928 in a POC race last summer. Poor guy should be in Orange instead of
Red. On the other hand, I have video of Mark Anderson (who also drives a Cup 996 really fast) lapping me in his crazy fast 928 while he is chasing down the overall leader for the win. So, like 951's, the 928 car/driver combo can vary greatly.

Lart951 you are a SD guy? Do you ever get on the track?

Since you want to know, the answer is no, I have not been in a race track for long time. My 1st experience was when I was 18 years old back in 1979, that's when I took the wheel behind a opel kadet in the amateur class on the opening day of the JABALI race track back in my country of origin El Salvador. In the same track I had the honor and the pleasure to ride in a 935 driven by Enrique Molins akak jamsal, a very popular race driver back in El Salvador. I was hooked on Porsches.
Five years later, I was racing Bmw 2002’s and Alfa Romeo GTV sprint veloce's, when I first saw the 944 on the track, the wide rear, the nose, the sound of the exhaust, all left a mark on my heart. I fell in love with the car. I bought my 1st 944 back in 1989 at the age of 29, since then I have owned 3 n/a's and 14 951’s

here a few pictures of the JABALI race track, Jamsal and his 935, The car was originally a Porsche factory 934 owned by Goerg Loos/Gelo racing. Raced in Europe from 1976 to 1978 .. 2nd in class at le Mans in 1976..sold after Le Mans 1976 to Swiss Privateer Claude Haldi.. Haldi raced it all over Europe.. Le Mans.. and the Monte Carlo Grand Prix in 1978 before selling it to Jamsal .. the car came to El Salvador as a 934 and Jamsal modified it to a 1978 935 body.. that is how he race it at the El Salvador 6 Hour in Nov of 1979. Then it evolved into the 935 M16 body it has now and as it raced as a Coca~Cola car in El Salvador.. he flew the car back on forth to race in IMSA and the Central American Championship series... The car was sold to America in Nov of 1989.. it sat in Jacksonville Florida until got it on a fluke in 2004. The car was bought and restored by VAN K ZANNIS
of SUNRISE RACING.

Also there is a picture of me 24 years ago next to my 79” GTV spring veloce before and 30 days later after an accident on the track, that was my last race.

Interesting. I was just curious if you ran competetively in your 951. I

t's good to know if there are others running the 951 in this neck of the woods with other clubs where there are "official" times on the same tracks I get to visit

You know, for comparison purposes.
