I am calling a serious bull**** on 325 at the crank.
It is more.

C'mon now.

I personally think that the power output of the N/A 911 is directly connected to whether or not the 951 can compete in GT-3. And since the 3.4 has been the largest displacment to date for the class, it matters how much power the engine can make reguardless of what some people want to think.

I have built a lot of Porsche engines. This is part of what I do for a living. I have 2 3.4's that are almost complete in the engine room right now. Both are Motec controlled. One is high butterfly TB's and the other is a slide valve engine. Both will use Motec CDI ignition. Both will use Phase 9 exhaust. Both will be tuned and have power pulls done on our DTS dyno. I will be glad to post dyno charts of both motors. I also have a high butterfly 3.8 that is also Motec controlled with CDI and it is ready for the dyno now. As I stated before, we ran a 993 in GT-2 in the late 90's driven by shop owner Ivan Arzola that dyno'd 395hp with high butterfly TB's, full Motec system etc. Find him in the PCA results. That car was fast, he was fast and it would friggin CRUSH GT-3 cars S or R. (That car BTW is now the blue 993 prototype that has a water cooled 3.6 that makes 1002hp and runs GTP-1 this weekend at Roebling Road.) With the expection of Ivan's own 951 that makes 510bhp @ 1 bar that will be forced into GTP next season. At the Rennsport Reunion he broke a CV in qual. and started second to last. I think in the first lap he passed 23 cars and ended up finishing 7th or something behind cars he would have beaten and some he did beat the following weekend at Daytona with HSR.

The point of all of this is I have not seen a single 3.4 that has ever made 400 wheel hp. Ever. I do know of one that is getting close to 380 or so but that is not confirmed. The car is friggin fast though. It may end up being the first I know of that get's there. I will be surprised if it does none the less.

Another guy I work with owned his own shop for something like 30 years and has forgotten more about Porsche engines than most people will ever know and he doubts a 3.4 will make 400 to the ground. FWIW.

I just want to see a legit dyno chart that shows 400. I can post one of a 2.5 951 making 462 to the ground that ran GT-3s and ITE in SCCA.

I know for fact that a 3.4 makes over 400 at the crank. It was built by peter dawe.

I guess how would I know. Tim is just one of my best friends. We started doing DEs together 15 years ago. I was with him the first time we went to Eurosports and met George Weathered, who built his engine. He and I talk many times a week and I have seen his dyno graph.

What have you got?

What does it make to the ground. That was the statement. 400+rwhp. Not crank hp.

Peter does some good work but I don't think he has seen 400+hp to the ground.

What kind of dyno are you about to tell me the engine was tested on?

Chris , i think we have already made the call on this one , it does not exist , if you examine the laps times thru all the races won by a 911 , there is no way for any GT3 911 to have 400 whp , Maybe if ran on alchol/ meth , but not in PCA.

Ohh, one more question Chris, Does Ivan pass out everytime the turbo goes into boost , looks like competing Nostrils in that cockpit
