I don't know about over-priced, personnally I hope he gets that much for it. It DOES only have 1400 miles, and is in concours condition (or so it appears). The only thing taking away from it IMO is the rockers...

Yeah, its in the best shape ever, but who is seriously going to pay that much for ANY 951, regardless of whether it has low miles, or turns into a transformer when you push a button on the dash. It might be "worth" 43k, but really - no one cares about 951's except us. They are just not a car that demands a high price so it seems...

If it's the same car I think it is, it was a museum piece. At one time it belonged to Bob Ingram and was on display in Durham, NC.
Originally, the car was factory ordered with the options described (including sun roof delete) by a collector on NY. Bob's people found the car and purchased it to be put on display. I've not been back to his museum to see what he might have replaced it with.

I try to put myself in that guys shoes... If I wasn't going to keep the car I surely wouldn't give it away. And I wouldn't expect someone like myself to afford it when I did. Then, you have to consider this really is a collectors piece (assumption) and you're playing a whole different game.

Those plaid sport seats are orgasmic!
43K is considerably less then what that car cost new. No one is going to fetch that. The 951S isn't a collector car. Too many made (as in 951s in general). Now had they made only 2000 951's wether they be base model or optioned out, THEN they'd be worth something. Too many of them though.
Nice looking car otherwise. Wonder how many TS were optioned as such (Sports seats, sunroof delete). I'm betting less then 75.
Also, what major service does a 1500 mile car need?!

That car is way overpriced but if someone is willing to pay it.....power to them.
If you ever wanted to drive it, imagine all the work that have to go into it. Every bit of rubber (hoses, seals, etc) would need to be replaced.
