I was on 434 from Mitchell Hammock to Waterford on Thursday, Friday, and Monday. Unfortunately, I should be in North Carolina by th time Rolex rolls around.
Todd, how is VA? I should be up there not too far from you in a couple of weeks.

Reminder, the first Citrus Region PCA Autocross of 2008 is this Sunday January 6th at the Lake County Tech Center (same place as usual).
Not sure if I'll make it our not yet.

Cheeziz... they start earlier every year!!!
I'm there... assuming I can get this blessed steering wheel re-stitched by then!!!
(I got an Alan Gun steering wheel cover for Chrizzmuss, and I'm about a quarter of the way through stitching it on... it takes forever to do it neatly and factory-perfect... However, I do have to say that it's the absolutely finest quality that I've ever seen, so it's definately worth doing right!

I bet it was really cool. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending upon your position, I start the relocation to western NC on Wednesday. I'm keeping the house down here though so I may still be able to join you guys on occasion.
Keith, that wheel cover sounds very nice - any pics?

I promise to get my car in presentable condition to make one of these things. I'm moving to Orlando next fall. By then I should have a new interior and new engine, plus a little body work. It's gonna be a LLLOOOOONNNNNGGGGG year!

For you... soy-tinley!!!
Here's a close-up of the rim stitching:
...and a (slightly-out-of-focus) shot of a spoke transisiton:
-I'm waiting for some more thread to finish the last few inches off.... that and the fact that I spent all weekend in bed with a cold conspired to doom my autocross plans for last Saturday... -Grrrrr!!!
I'll post pics of the completed thing when it's installed back in the car, airbag and all. -The kit is EXCEPTIONAL quality, and I'm knocked out by it. -It does take rather a bit of patience to stitch it all up nicely, but the quality actually surpasses that of the original Porsche leather wheel, by some considerable margin. -The thread which Alan supplies 'beds-in' to the leather, and sits 'down' in the surface, and it has a nice tensile strength. -The original Porsche thread was thicker, sits "above" the surface of the old (by now somewhat harder, and thinner) leather, and -while nice- is simply NOT as nice as the Alan Gun replacement... I'd recommend it to ANYONE.

I'll be making the Feb 3rd also, but this time with an '84 Carrera that's black on black! So does anyone know someone looking for an '86 951 because mine is now up for sale.
