Default HP gains from crank scrappers?

I am looking for any hard information showing hp gain (or lack of it) when using crank scrappers on 944 type engines.

I understand how improving lubrication improves the engine's operating efficiency. But is it possible to actually increase HP to a noticeable degree with a crank scraper?

Good luck with this one.
Those of us that occasionally report real results from back to back dyno testing get chastised by internet kiddies for using dynoes - which are totally bogus of course.

I am asking because 944 spec rules allow for reliablity mods that don't improve performance (ie hp). This is nice reliablity mod, but if it makes hp than it will not be allowed.

I have no plans to install one in my engines, but other in the class have asked and it is my job as series director to find out and make rulling. Mfg claims a hp gain. I don't believe it, but have no evidence to disprove that.

Well, one could argue that by using one you're decreasing the rotating mass...

But it'd be a very tough argument to win.

While I can't speak for actual application in the 944/51 motors, I have used them on other projects and there seems to be very little HP gains from the scraper side of it but the HP gains associated from the windage can be quite noticable but basically windage effects will be undectable on a Dyno.

Well let them put it on and if they beat you in the series, have them disqualified because you're the boss.
