Videos of my 87' 951 after new T04b and other mods
I've recently got done installing and breaking in some new modifications to my 951. You can see what I've done in my signature below. I found a very deserted road and did a few acceleration runs. I videotaped the dash so I could look at boost, oil pressure, rpm, speedo, etc. I had the camera mounted on top of the steering wheel and it seemed to work pretty well. The car seems pretty quick and by judging from others with similar mods that have done dynos I'm guessing it puts down about 300 hp to the wheels. It's definitely a blast to drive and has satisfied my need for further modifications for quite some time (or so I think). I did quite a few runs: 0-80 mph, 30-120 mph, 50-90 mph, 4th gear pull, and 5th gear pull. Let me know what you think! I hope to get it on the dyno soon.

I'll definitely be going to the Parts Heaven swap meet. I plan on being there early, probably right at 8:30 or 9:00. And yeah, I decided to go right for what I wanted and just do a turbo swap. It definitely sounds awesome and just keeps pulling and pulling. Also, those videos are done with the car set at about 16 psi.

Also, the reason for the steering wheel turning (the dizzyness effect) on the 0-80 mph run is because of tire spin when the boost kicks in and I'm trying to keep it going straight. It came with LSD from the factory and it still works like a champ.

Yes next time fix the camera elsewhere. Nice mods and improvements though, you should be happy.

cyinisis, I have a 38mm wastegate on it. It holds boost like a champ. And I'll definitely try to fix the camera elsewhere. I didn't want a ride along to hold the camera because of the added weight, ha ha. I don't think that has any impact on Special Tool's car. It doesn't seem to be suffering much from a passenger.

Also, what size wheels/tires are you running?
Car looks fantastic, and from the mods you've done and the performance gained, I think you've helped me decide what direction I'm going in (in the future anyway) for my turbo mods.
Nice job!
